A MAN from Birmingham wanted on suspicion of rape was arrested in Redditch on Monday night, October 22.
West Mercia Police, who led the investigation, detained the man, in his 20s, after a widespread search.
Detective Inspector Sarah Squires said: “Following a police search in Redditch yesterday evening a man in his 20s from the Birmingham area has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.
“Increased patrols are being carried out across the town to offer reassurance to the local community.”
