THE A448 Bromsgrove Highway is to close tonight, Thursday, November 8 for emergency carriageway repairs.
The closure order will be in place from 7.30pm until 6am from its junction with the A38 in Bromsgrove (Oakalls Island) to the B4184 Birchfield Road.
Worcestershire County Council has asked for the closure provision to be in force for five days but anticipates the work will be completed tonight / early Friday morning.
Alternative routes are via Tardebigge and Finstall on Hewell Lane or Burcot Lane or on the A-roads via, A448 Bromsgrove Highway, A441 Alvechurch Highway, A441 Birmingham Road, A441 Alvechurch Highway, A441 Redditch Road, B4096 Longbridge Lane, A441 Birmingham Road, A38 Bristol Road South, A38 Birmingham Road, A38 Halesowen Road, A38 Birmingham Road, A38 Bromsgrove Eastern Bypass and vice versa.
