LAST Friday Redditch Lions were again collecting for the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
As usual, the people of Redditch gave generously, bringing bags of coins and coppers to add to the collection, which in the end amounted to more than £1,000 for the day.
The Club also donated a large Pudsey Bear to the Next store which they raffled off to raise an additional £293 for the charity.
Boots the Chemist and Greggs in the centre also made collections during the day.
Lions President Brian Rich said: “Thanks to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre management team who made our collection possible.
“We are pleased our fellow collectors and ourselves were part of the effort that raised over £50 million for the charity this year.”
