AN annual Christmas Carol Service will take place on Headless Cross Green later this month in aid of the Primrose Hospice.
The service was first held in 2014 when Headless Cross residents Becky Rose and Rachel Evans approached the Orchard Committee Group.
They asked the group, which holds events on Headless Cross Green, if they would support them in holding Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve.
Becky Rose said: “Over the years it has grown to be hugely popular within the community.
“Last year we raised £659 for the Primrose Hospice despite the event only lasting one hour.”
This year’s service starts at 4.30pm on December 24.
Arrow Valley Brass Band will be making their third appearance in hope of enhancing the festive atmosphere.
Everyone is encouraged to join in on the Christmas carols.
It’s a free event but donations are welcome.
