THERE’S a rare treat in store for music lovers on Saturday, January 5 at St Peter’s Church in Inkberrow.
International classical musicians Sylvia Mayinger (viola) and Lauretta Bloomer (piano) will be performing an inpromptu ‘Twelfth Night’ concert from 5pm to 6pm.
The programme will be informal and a real chamber music feel is promised, with the works being explained and both the artists showing their love and knowledge of the pieces.
Lauretta, who has musical contacts throughout Europe, is the wife of local vicar the Rev Bruce Rienstra while Sylvia is the former lead viola of the Santa Cecilia Orchestra of Rome.
Refreshments will be offered in the church hall after.
There will be a retiring collection for the church fabric fund.
