SNOWDROP Weekend at St Leonard’s Church is fast approaching with a beautiful carpet of flowers promised for the big event.
The aim is to open the grounds of the Beoley church so people can experience the display that springs into life all over the churchyard, the graves, and surrounding grounds.
Entry to the event, on February 16-17, is free, but donations to church funds can be offered.
The church will also have displays inside that show and will be showcasing an arts and crafts competition it has been running in local schools.
The Mayor of Redditch, Councillor Juliet Brunner will be on hand on Sunday to present the prizes.
Meanwhile a side chapel will be transformed into a hive of activity for children.
The church will be open to visitors on Saturday from 10am to 4pm and on Sunday from 1pm to 4pm and cakes, teas and coffees will be available.
