Top tips to keep bugs at bay according to family doctors

Redditch Editorial 19th Feb, 2019   0

FAMILY doctors are urging people to keep bugs at bay by following three simple rules.

They say anyone who is sneezing or coughing should:

1) Catch it – Always carry tissues and use them to cover your nose and mouth when you cough or sneeze.

2) Bin it – Dispose of used tissues as soon as possible.

3) Kill it – Clean your hands with soap and water as soon as you can and make sure you wash them frequently.

Dr Carl Ellson of Worcestershire three GP led clinical commissioning groups said: “Always cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, put the tissue in the bin – don’t save it to reuse – and clean your hands as quickly as possible.”

Parents are also reminded to make sure little ones are taught how to clean their hands properly, particularly if they’re around friends or relatives that are ill.
