Council urges locals to set up stalls at upcoming summer events

REDDITCH Borough Council is offering local businesses, crafts people, charities and organisations the opportunity to show its wares this summer at a variety of public events.

The council wants to hear from people who are interested in setting up stalls at the Bandstand Vintage Day, Morton Stanley Festival or the Green Fair.

Craftspeople, exhibitors, service providers and any other businesses, as well as charities and community groups, are welcome to take up a pitch and sell their wares to those who attend.

Val Wilson, Events Officer, said: “Many people will be aware of the community section at Morton Stanley Festival, where locals can rent a stall to display crafts and products.

“What isn’t as well-known is that there are similar opportunities at the popular Green Fair in Arrow Valley Country Park, and at our Bandstand events – which includes a Vintage Day on June 15.”

The council are looking for ‘appropriately-themed’ businesses to take up stalls and make each event ‘one to remember’.

Green Fair will take place on Sunday, July 7 from 11am until 4.30pm.

Morton Stanley Festival is scheduled in for its usual weekend of August 17 and 18.

Stalls are available to be booked now.
