FOUR staff members lost their jobs at a Redditch veterinary practice yesterday after it was announced it will close its doors for good.
Vets4Pets, based on Studley Road, closed along with up to 54 other loss-making practices around the country.
No further explanation has been given for the closures.
A spokesperson from Redditch Vets4Pets said: “It was a national decision made right from the very top.
“We haven’t been told much more than that.
“But we have known about it since November last year when the company’s statement was first released.”
Pets at Home is the United Kingdom’s largest pet supplies retailer, with more than 370 stores and 6,000 employees.
