UPLIFTING artwork created by Redditch school pupils has been put on display in the Alexandra Hospital.

In February Rev David Ryan, healthcare chaplain at the Alex, contacted St Augustine’s Catholic High School as part of the hospital’s community engagement project.

He asked pupils if they would like to display their artwork in the hospital’s corridors.

A school spokesperson said: “The concept behind the project is to provide uplifting imagery which has a positive impact on the hospital’s staff, patients and family and friends who are visiting.

“The project called ‘Energy, Environment and Sustainability’, was organised by our head of art, design and technology, Mrs Jack.

“She worked hard with students to create a body of work for the hospital.”

According to the school pupils have received positive comments about their designs and some members of the community have even offered to purchase their work.
