A ‘MAKING Decisions About Your Future’ event is being held at Tesco Extra Redditch tomorrow, Friday, July 26 from 10am to 2pm.
The roadshow has been organised by Worcestershire County Council in a bid to help people stay independent for longer and to outline the help available when that is no longer possible.
Councillor Adrian Hardman, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, said: “These events have been a great opportunity for our Adult Social Care team to talk to Worcestershire’s residents about staying independent for as long as possible, and the importance of discussing your wishes for future care.
“It’s important to notice little changes in your health and activity, like struggling to cut your own toenails.
“These can be signs of reducing mobility and linked to ageing. At that point it may be the time to start thinking and planning for the future.”
The engagement events provide another opportunity for local people to come along and find out how they can stay independent for longer and find out the best way to put across your future wishes regarding care to your friends and family.
