Alcester Motor Show proves huge success with more than 5,000 visitors

THE second ever Alcester Motor Show was a huge success with more than 5,000 people visiting the high street last Sunday, July 21.

The sun was beating down on visitors as they got up close and personal with more than 100 vintage and classic vehicles.

From 1922 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost Tourers to AC Cobra Dax replicas and monster trucks – the event had it all.

Organiser Sarah Basset said: “It was absolutely packed every where you looked.

“The positive feedback we have received from the day has been overwhelming.

“The reason we do the Motor Show is to showcase Alcester as a fabulous place to visit, and to encourage people to use the many wonderful bars and cafes.

“A special thank you goes out to our sponsors Pantry Ann’s Delicatessen, Flush Heating and Plumbing, Bold Hydrographics and Cross Motor Engineering who made the event possible.”

Money raised from the event will be donated to charity Molly Olly’s Wishes and donations can still be made by visiting the Alcester Motor Show Facebook page.

The event will return next year on Sunday, July 19.
