Jobs fair for youngsters heads to Redditch Library this week

Redditch Editorial 2nd Sep, 2019   0

AN apprenticeship roadshow and jobs fair is heading to Redditch Library this week to encourage youngsters to consider different paths into work and higher education.

The aim is to showcase the wide variety of opportunities available to young people who are considering what to do after getting their GCSE or A-Level exam results.

Worcestershire’s cabinet member with responsibility for Education and Skills Councillor Marcus Hart, said: “In addition to traditional A Levels, there are many exciting and rewarding choices available for young people to choose from, as part of the next stage of their academic or professional career.

“This includes study programmes, traineeships, vocational courses such as BTECs as well as apprenticeships.

“The apprenticeship roadshow is a great way to seek out further advice about what to do next and access information about what options are available.”

It’s being run at Redditch Library on the afternoon of Thursday, September 5 from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Young people unsure of what to do next are encouraged to look at the county council’s Careers Hub Portal.
