UP to 2,000 homes in Redditch suffered power failure or a dip in power after a fault developed in the underground electricity network.
The incident occurred around 3pm today, Monday, September 2, and affected large parts of the new town extending as far as Batchley.
A spokesperson for distributor Western Power said some homes would have suffered a total loss of power while others would have had a period of reduced output.
He said the network was re-routed and all homes had power restored within the hour.
Engineers were now working to repair the problem.
