Redditch’s award-winning library reveals its most read books

IT was National Read a Book Day last Monday and Redditch’s award-winning library has been as busy as ever with eager readers.

In the past month, the most borrowed books from libraries across the county for children have been Epic Adventure (Kind of) by Liz Pichon and Esio Trot by Roald Dahl with 46 loans in August.

Other popular books for children included There’s a Snake In My School! by David Walliams and What The Ladybird Heard on Holiday by Julia Donaldson.

The most favoured book for young people in August was More Than This by Patrick Ness, with The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and Girl Online by Zoe Sugg also being borrowed regularly.




Adult borrowers have been choosing to read Past Tense by Lee Child with Lethal White by Robert Galbraith and In A House of Lies by Ian Rankin also popular page-turners.
