A LOCAL law firm has raised £1,000 for Primrose Hospice after organising a summer-long series of charity events.
FBC Manby Bowdler handed the donation over to the Primrose Hospice at a breakfast celebration to mark its first year in business in Redditch on October 15.
The firm moved into the town last year after the acquisition of the highly respected Kerwoods partnership.
To raise the money, staff took part in the Primrose Hospice corporate challenge, where local businesses compete to raise the most money from a £50 starter grant. They hosted activities including a cake sale, a floral themed dress down day, raffle, auction and a photo competition.
There was also a staff barbecue, a floristry workshop, and a paint for Primrose and prosecco event.
Hospice fundraiser Amy Flemming added: “Our work supporting people with life-limiting conditions and their families is made possible by the kind and generous support of businesses like FBC Manby Bowdler.
“We have to raise more than £1.75million each year to provide our services to care for our patients and their families so every penny counts.”
