A YOUNG man was spotted climbing the giant Christmas tree outside St Stephen’s Church late on Friday night.
A snap of the trouble maker was taken by a passer-by, who then uploaded the picture to Facebook.
The post attracted hundreds of comments.
The climber can be seen putting his foot through the tree itself, causing notable damage.

One local said: “Such a shame, my daughter has sensory issues and loves this tree.
“How upsetting.”
The tree, which measures 12 metres high, was provided by Redditch BID – known as Revitalise Redditch.
The group is dedicated to attracting more visitors to the town.
