Found: Police give thanks as two missing Redditch girls are found

The missing girls have been found.

Inspector Lee Page said: “Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal to help find the two girls who were missing from Redditch.

“We are pleased to say they have been found safe and well.”




THE STORY FROM EARLIER THIS MORNING:

POLICE are searching for two young Redditch girls who vanished overnight from their home in Greenlands.


Cousins Leah Giles, aged 12 and Brianna Savage, eight, were last seen at around 1am this morning (January 2).

At this point in the investigation it is not believe that anyone was involved with their disappearance.

Leah is 5ft 3, mixed race and has long, dark, curly hair which is usually tied back.

She is currently wearing a special boot as she broke her toe and may be limping.

Inspector Lee Page said: “Officers and family are deeply concerned for both the girls’ safety and welfare and would ask the public to remain vigilant this morning.

“Please call 101 if you see either girl or have any information as to their whereabouts.”
