PLANS to set up a cremation service for pets are being looked into by Redditch Borough Council.
The initiative comes from the authority’s Leader Councillor Matt Dormer who said the idea had come to him when he realised there was nowhere nearby offering such a service.
“These are changing times; people get attached to their pets, they become members of the family and in many cases people want to put them through the same ceremonies that we have.”
