A PLATINUM couple will celebrate 70-years of happy marriage on March 11.
Stan, aged 93, and June Daniel, 91, will mark the big occasion by going for a meal with the rest of their family.
Their nephew, Redditch man Colin Daniel, said: “This is a huge achievement and I’m so happy for them.
“They have really different personalities but it works well for them and they have a really good relationship.
“I have a lot of happy memories with them when I was a kid as they visited my mum and dad a lot.”
The pair, who live in Hollywood, Birmingham, were introduced by their mothers who were great friends.
Stan moved in with June’s mum following his time in the forces and it was more or less love at first sight.
Colin added: “June essentially fell in love with the lodger.”
