REDDITCH Borough is taking action to keep residents and front-line staff safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In accordance with Government guidance, the authority is urging residents to only visit its public buildings, including the Town Hall, if necessary.
And to stay away if they have symptoms such as coughing, fever or shortness of breath.
A council spokeswoman said: “Residents who have booked a home visit with one of our officers, and are displaying symptoms, or are self-isolating, are urged to cancel and rebook unless of an emergency nature.
“All visiting officers are making contact with residents in advance of visits wherever possible.
“We are continuing to work with partners and key agencies to stay up to date in receiving top-level guidance and will be taking appropriate action as required.”
Sports and activity sessions delivered by council have been suspended.
