Redditch Nightstop continues to support clients despite coronavirus threat

Redditch Editorial 28th Mar, 2020   0

THE coronavirus threat hasn’t prevented Redditch Nightstop from supporting its clients.

The team from the Old Needleworks in Britten Street are both receiving calls and proactively calling clients to maintain contact.

The Basement Project in Bromsgrove say they are also on call ready to help.

However neither charity says it can accept new referrrals due to the risk to both the client and the host.

“We are currently supporting a young person with a host that was placed on supported lodgings before the virus outbreak, this support is continuing through this difficult time,” said Nightstop’s Sharon Holtom.

Support is also in place to help people with their mental health and wellbeing.

“We are not conducting face-to-face appointments at the moment however clients and agencies can call us for support on 07904 211765, Monday to Friday and from 9am to 5pm,” added Sharon.

“If anyone is in a position where they find themselves homeless please call the above number.”

The charity can also be found on facebook and instagram – nightstopofficial or email [email protected].

In Bromsgrove, the Basement Projectr is running a virtual drop in via Skype, for support, emotional support and non-emergency issues.

To access the virtual drop in you will need Skype, which is free to download to a laptop, tablet or smartphone, create an account and then sign in and search for The Basement Project.

Staff can still be contacted on 01527 832993 between 11am and 4pm from Monday to Friday.
