Care home staff to get bumper pay rise

Redditch Editorial 5th Apr, 2020   0

BOWOOD Court and Mews care home in Redditch has confirmed its team will receive an inflation busting pay increase, with the lowest paid getting a further 5.5 per cent, nearly four time the rate of inflation.

Hundreds of Adepts team members saw their wages boosted by nearly £1,000 per annum in April 1.

The firm employs more than 600 carers nationwide, 106 at Bowood Court alone.

Dave Lock, managing director for Adept Care Homes said: “The dedication and commitment our carers deliver every day when caring for our residents underpins our success. We believe in investing in our staff.”

A care assistant at Bowood added: “This pay rise will make such a difference to my family’s life – that bit extra every month means we can do so much more.”
