Redditch Police appeal after man is stabbed five times in his car

POLICE are appealing for information following a stabbing in Redditch.

The attack happened at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, April 14 in Winslow Close, Winyates.

When officers arrived they found a man in his 30s had been stabbed five times while sat in his car.

The victim had suffered serious injuries to his arm following the attack and was taken to hospital where he was treated for his wounds.




Detective Constable Claire Masters said: “The victim was sat in his parked in Winslow Close when he was approached by a man who asked him for money.

“The victim refused to hand anything over, however the suspect returned five minutes later and stabbed the victim through his open car window five times.


“The suspect then left the scene on foot in the direction of Goodrich Close.

“He is described as black, aged 15 to 20 and of slim build, short plaited hair, wearing a dark coloured hoodie and carrying a black drawstring bag.

“This was a brutal attack which has caused significant injuries to the victim and I would ask the pubic to please get in touch if they have any information that can help our investigation.

“If you were driving near Winslow Close or Goodrich Close between 2pm and 3pm you may have recorded something helpful on your vehicle’s dash cam in which case I would urge you to please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 0344s of the 14 April 2020.”
