THE teenager arrested on suspicion of committing arson at a house in Redditch has been bailed.

The 15-year-old boy has been released with conditions to his bail.

On Monday Police investigating the house fire on Lilac Close confirmed that a boy had been arrested on suspicion of committing arson ‘with intent to endanger life’.

Earlier this week, detective Inspector Lisa Duncan said: “Understandably, this incident will be a concern for local residents. I want to reassure them, and the wider Redditch community, that at this time we believe it to be an isolated incident.

“Officers currently remain at the scene while we investigate the circumstances jointly with the Fire Service.”

Anyone with any information about the incident, that hasn’t yet spoken to officers, is asked to call 101 providing incident number 101s of June 14.
