Museum's appeal for your memories of Covid-19 pandemic

Redditch Editorial 13th Aug, 2020   0

A PROJECT to record the experiences of people in the Covid-19 pandemic has been launched by the Market Hall Museum in Warwick.

The museum, which has just re-opened for pre-booked visits, would like to hear people’s views on what things they should collect and are there any particular stories, groups or people that are important to record?

They would also like to hear of any items that people might have that encapsulates their experiences of Warwickshire during Covid-19.

To contribute with ideas, email: [email protected] and put Collecting Covid in the subject line.

To offer an item, send a photo of it and an explanation of how it relates to the county during Covid-19.

All your responses will be collated and reviewed by the project team.

Councillor Heather Timms, who holds the county’s heritage, culture and environment portfolio, said: “We usually think of museums as places with historic objects in displays, but right now there is a chance to get people’s impressions of this time in history in the moment, in a safe and considered way, and we welcome contributions to how we do this.”
