THE fund-raising Rees Cafe in Church Road has reopened in the wake of lockdown easing.
The popular cafe, which raises money for care leavers, is currently offering a reduced menu and is taking part in Chancellor Rishi Sunak’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Manager Helena Tonks said it was only the cafe side of the operation that was open and not the nearly new donations part.
“People are already dropping off clothes and things but at the moment we simply cannot take them,” she said.
The Rees Cafe, opposite the old bus depot, is open from 10am to 3pm Mondays to Saturdays.
The cafe also offers a takeaway service complete with bamboo cutlery.
