POLICE discovered a pistol when they raided a Redditch home on a drugs warrant last night, Monday, August 17.
The weapon was found with a large quantity of blank ammunition and it will now be subjected to forensic examination to see if it has been used in any crime.
No arrests were made at the time but officers from the Local Policing Priority Team, who carried out the raid, said enquires were ongoing.
The LPPT South squad are aimed at targeting problems specific to local communities, be that drugs, burglary, modern day slavery, economic crime or fraud.
