A LUCKY Redditch resident is £1,000 better off after winning the top prize in last week’s Worcestershire Hospices Lottery.
The lottery, which raises money for Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust, St Richard’s Hospice and locally Primrose Hospice, not only offers a weekly top prize of £1,000 but also the chance to win a roll-over prize which can reach £3,000.
Money raised from the lottery is used for the sole benefit of the hospices to contribute towards their day to day running costs.
There is a weekly prize fund of £1,700 and it costs £1 per week to play.
All the profits are divided equally between the three hospices.
Last year the lottery raised a profit of £280,000 and since its first draw in 1999 it has raised more than £2million for the hospices.
