MUSIC man Sam Ostler has released his latest single.

Sam, from Redditch, spent Monday at BBC Hereford and Worcester who’ve agreed to play the new track, ‘Electric Girl’.

It’s a piano-driven ballad and Sam says it comes from the heart.

“It’s about someone special and the times we spent together,” he said.

“I just felt I had to say something and thought the best way of expressing myself was through a song.”

The release adds to a growing collection by the prolific writer who already has two five track EPs and a previous single under his belt.

Covid-19 has made this a tough year for everyone and Sam, who’s been working at Attwell Farm at Bransons Cross to make ends meet, is no different.

“Normally at this time, the back end of the year, I’d be on the road gigging doing support tours or playing in theatres or other venues so from that perspective this year has been a total write off.

“However it has given me the chance to go out and meet people in the business who themselves would normally be doing gigs.

“You’ve got to seize the opportunities when they’re there and that’s what I’ve done.”

Electric Girl is released on Monday, October 19 and will be available on all music streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and Amazon as well as from Sam’s own social media pages.
