STUDENTS at Tudor Grange Academy Redditch, took part in a whole school remembrance service on Armistice Day to mark the lives of those who had died in combat.

Split into year group bubbles, the cadets ensured that each year group had their own poppy wreath.

Poems were read and time was given to reflect and remember those that died whilst the Last Post was played.

Julie Chattoe, school staff instructor said: “It’s wonderful that the cadets get the opportunity to lead on Remembrance Day and they have been practising for weeks.

“It is our privilege to do this.”

Jodie Bolter, Principal for Tudor Grange added: “It was wonderful to see our school community come together for such an important remembrance service.

“It is important we remember the people that have given their lives in service to their country.

“We have spent break time today raising money for the poppy appeal and talking about grandparents and great grandparents that fought in the war.

“It is so important for us as a community to unite in this special remembrance.

“I am very proud of how each and every one of our students were so respectful – it was a very moving remembrance ceremony”.
