A NEW partnership of schools is aiming to create excellent educational experiences in both Redditch and Studley.
The Shires Multi Academy Trust comprises Feckenham Church of England School, Studley High School and Webheath Academy Primary School.
“We formed this trust with a simple vision to create a family of academies working together in offering the communities we serve, excellent educational experiences so that every child within the trust can flourish,” said chief executive Lee Gray.
“We’re committed to supporting the local community in providing clarity linked to routes through the complex local educational landscape.”
Whilst the Shires Trust has established with three schools initially, it is anticipated other local primary and secondary schools will want to work with it developing the partnership further.
“This represents an exciting opportunity and one we hope other schools might want to join,” added Lee.
Webheath School became a primary school in 2017 and Feckenham Church of England School will convert to primary school provision from September 2021.
Jeanette Little, Headteacher at Feckenham Church of England School said: “Staff and governors are delighted that after several years of searching for a multi academy trust (MAT) that fulfils our needs we have found it in the Shires MAT.”
Richard Eost, Headteacher at Studley High School said: “ We are extremely excited about the future and the opportunities that it creates for pupils, parents, staff, Governors and the wider community.”
