A REDDITCH business is in the running for the Farm Shop and Deli Awards 2021.
Rough Hill Farm Shop started off selling eggs with an honesty box and over the years has grown to offer fruit, veg, meat, garden plants and more.
“A customer nominated us and came in to tell us and the more nominations we receive, the better our chances of success,” said manager Ryan Durr, who used to be in car sales before going full time at the farm shop, which was started by his in-laws.
“My in-laws kept chickens and they were getting overrun with eggs so started selling them with just an honesty box.
“Over the past 10 to 12 years it’s just grown and then, when Covid happened, it just put us on the map as more and more people started to discover good local produce on their doorstep rather than relying on the supermarkets.”
Rough Hill Farm Shop is on The Slough, A448 between Redditch and Studley.
