FIREFIGHTERS wearing breathing apparatus tackled a blaze in a garage attached to a house in Oakenshaw Road, Greenlands, last night, Wednesday, February 10.
The alarm was raised at 8.15pm after fire broke out in the garage.
This spread to the roof space in the garage and then to the house.
Three fire crews attended the scene, two from Redditch and one from Bromsgrove and six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.
An ambulance crew also arrrived and one person was treated by paramedics.
Engineers from Western Power sealed off the gas and electricity and an investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
