LOCAL health bosses are planning to transform Redditch town centre into an outdoor art gallery in July as part of a mental health campaign.
Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust is currently contacting local businesses, including this paper, to use their window spaces to host the artwork.
A spokesperson at the trust said: “Not only will this campaign increase awareness and improve mental wellbeing, but it will also increase footfall in the centre and help boost the local economy.
“It won’t cost (businesses) a penny, but it could help save someone’s life if they are struggling with suicidal thoughts. Or it could bring a smile to those who need to know they are not alone.”
The ‘Now We’re Talking with Art’ campaign will be in Worcester City in May and also in Hereford later this year.
A series of art competitions will soon open up to local adults and children whose winning entries will feature on the trails.
