POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was allegedly raped in Matchborough, Redditch on April 19.
Officers said the victim was sitting in the park near to McColl’s store, between the car park and the pond, when the alleged offence took place.
West Mercia Police detective, Beth Wells, said: “We are keen to hear from witnesses who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area between 7.30pm and 9.30pm.
“We would like to identify four young people on bicycles who were seen in the park, potentially three young men and a young woman, who we believe can help us with our investigation. One of the men had no shirt and was on a blue mountain bike.
“And we especially want to hear from anyone driving along either Matchborough Way or Hatfield Lane who may have dashcam footage from that time.”
People with information that may help with police enquiries, should call 101 quoting incident number 579i.
