ECHO Base Live Episode IX returns to the Kingfisher Shopping Centre this Saturday, August 7.

ONE of the biggest Star Wars collectibles conventions in Europe, it’s an internationally celebrated event which is set to provide fans of the Star Wars film franchise with a fantastic experience.

Offering a range of vintage and modern memorabilia – from toys and books, to figurines and art – the day will also feature special guest appearances including Chris Bunn, the original Stormtrooper and Michael Pennington who played Moff Jerjerrod.

Activities on the day include the popular Jedi Fight Academy, hosted by Star Wars veteran, Andrew Lawden, who was the stunt double for Liam Neeson in Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, which allows fans to perfect the fight moves seen onscreen and rehearse their own ‘fight story’. As well as this, fans will have the opportunity to view and take photos with life-sized Star Wars prop displays.

Ken Williams, general manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “We are very proud and excited to be able to once again host such a major fan convention here at Kingfisher.

“The Echo Base Live events hosted in previous years were some of the most successful that Kingfisher has held, so we are really looking forward to this year’s convention.

“Given how difficult the last 18 months been for many of us, it is wonderful to be able to offer our guests an opportunity and space to escape and enjoy themselves.”

The Echo Base Live convention will take place from 10am to 3pm on Park Walk, between Coffee#1 and Waterstones.

Visitors can find the prop area in Evesham Square, near Primark. For more information on the event, visit the Kingfisher website: www.kingfishershopping.co.uk/news-events/echo-base-live-returns
