INKBERROW is to once again host its ‘Lockdown Art Fair’ on the village green.

It comes after the success of last year’s event with all the artists who took part then keen to do it again.

“It started with a few posters around the village calling all Inkberrow artists to put on a display of the work they had done in the first lockdown,” said Stella Harris, wife of renowned local artist John Harris.

“We were surprised to find there were 14 artists in the village! Lucky with the weather, the whole village turned out.

“Masked and socially distanced, a much repeated saying on the day was ‘This is the first time we’ve been out!’”.

This year, a dozen or more local artists will set up an informal show of their artworks on the village green, situated between the Old Bull and the Bulls Head pubs, with parking at the bottom of Church Hill.

As with last year their will also be a prize raffle to win one of John’s paintings, this time featuring wild flowers in the Centenary Woods.

The art fair is this Bank Holiday Monday, August 30 and runs from 10am to 6pm.
