Topp soloist to join concert in aid of Chernobyl Childrens appeal

Redditch Editorial 11th Sep, 2021   0

A VERY special charity concert series is back performing again at St Peter’s Church in Inkberrow.

Raising funds for the Chernobyl Children’s Charity and the fabric fund for Inkberrow Church, the Inkberrow Sinfonia will once again take to the stage under the baton of its regular maestro Richard Laing.

These concerts have now become an established annual event in the village, drawing in an audience from far and wide and this one promises to be no different.

The concert opens with Fauré’s orchestral suite ‘Masques et Bergamasques’ followed by Mozart’s 4th Horn Concerto with soloist James Topp, principal horn in the English Symphony Orchestra and then, after the interval the orchestra will perform Schubert’s 6th Symphony.

The concert is next Saturday, September 18 in the church at 7.30pm and tickets at £10 from Jenny Powis on 01386 792909, the Forge Shop in Inkberrow High Street, from the village Post Office in Pepper Street, and BLUE in Pershore.
