Alert to drivers as Remembrance Day Parade returns to Studley

Redditch Editorial 6th Nov, 2021   0

THE annual Remembrance Sunday parade returns to Studley on Sunday, November 14.

This has traditionally been a well supported event every year but in 2020 had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions.

For safety reasons there will be road closures between 10am and midday and Studley Parish Council is asking that all drivers avoid the area during this time.

If that is not possible the authority asks that motorists be patient and tolerant while the parade takes place.

This year’s act of remembrance is being staged with the help and assistance of Headway Traffic Management who will organise all signage including advance warnings leading up to the day.

Councillor Colin Summers, the chair of the parish council, said: “Thanks must go to all the volunteers who have helped to stage the event, and special thanks to Headway and their contracts supervisor Harry Steel.”
