REDDITCH residents are being urged to take up the offer of booster jabs at surgeries and walk in clinics across the borough before Christmas.
Local Town Crier Kevin Ward has something to shout about as he helps spread the important message to residents.
Kevin has been drafted in to remind residents about where to get their jabs, will be walking around the town centre tomorrow, Wednesday, December 22, from 11am to 1pm.
And he’ll be accompanied by Covid advisors who will be offering information and directing people to their nearest clinics to either walk-in or to make an appointment.
Leaflets with all the details will be given out.
Residents can look out for Kevin while doing their Christmas shopping as he makes his way around Trafford Park, Asda and B&Q, Church Green and the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.
Council leader Matt Dormer said: “Thank you to local doctors and partner organisations who have worked together to make all of these extra vaccination booster appointments available, especially so close to Christmas.
“Redditch residents have been really good at taking up the jabs – but we need a real push to make sure everyone is jabbed, ideally before Christmas.
“Covid is still out there and with figures getting higher every day, make sure you have safe Christmas festivities and get boosted to protect yourself and those you might be mixing with.”
