Appeal following attack by Staffies in Plymouth Rd cemetery

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a couple walking their dogs through the cemetery on Plymouth Road had one of pets attacked by two loose Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

The incident happened at around 6am on Thursday, February 17 as the couple were walking their two Lurchers around the popular spot when one of their dogs was attacked.

The Staffies, one black and one tan/white, were not on leads.

The attack resulted in significant injuries and injuries also to one of its owners.




Police say the owner of the Staffies reportedly arrived a short while after the attack and is described as a white man, around 30 years old, stocky build, short light coloured hair and wearing a tan coat.

However, he has then left the scene with both his dogs before exchanging any details.


A police spokesperson said: “We would like to her from anyone who witnessed the attack or who may recognise the description of the man and the dogs.
