MAKE tracks for Redditch’s Repair Cafe this Saturday, February 26 where a top team of experts will be on hand to breath new life into your broken or damaged possessions.
The concept of the Repair Cafe is simple – a team of volunteers ranging from people skilled in electrics, mechanics, computers, bicycles, stitching and sewing offer their services for free on the last Saturday of every month.
All people need to do is drop broken, damaged, ripped or torn items off between 10am and midday where they will be assessed.
If a repair is possible the item can be collected later, but before 1pm, or they can sit and relax and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake or a biscuit while they wait.
If something might take a little bit longer to fix, then that can be arranged too.
All repairs are carried out for free, although donations are always welcome.
It’s all happening at Community House on Easemore Road close to the town centre where there is ample car parking available.
