REDDITCH United have confirmed that midfielder Thomas Rankin has died at the age of 26.
The club announced the tragic news of Rankin’s death on Sunday afternoon.
A cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
Rankin played for the club in their game against AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Saturday.
The club tweeted: “Redditch United are devastated to hear of passing of midfielder Thomas Rankin.
“Tom has been with the Reds for the past three seasons and his loss will be felt by all at the Club. Our thoughts are with his family at this time.
“RIP Tom.”
