LOCAL artists are gearing up for the next Arts in Redditch pop-up exhibition in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Opening on Thursday, May 19 and then every day for 10 days, the gallery will feature the work of 40 local artists who will be exhibiting more than 500 individual works of original art, including paintings, ceramics, textile work, photography and other media.

All the work will be for sale, and can be taken away on the day of purchase.

There will also smaller items for sale, such as cards and prints, all based on artists’ original work.

The exhibition will be in Unit 24, Walford Walk, opposite Clinton Cards which has proved a popular location in the past.

Arts in Redditch trustee Philip Roberts said: “We are really excited to be getting back into our stride, with the resumption of twice-yearly galleries.

“As well as many of our regular exhibitors, we are delighted to welcome more new participants, who are looking forward to exhibiting with us for the first time.

“This will be a great opportunity to view the sheer breadth of local creative talent at work in Redditch, and the sales of these works helps to fund our charitable aims.

“Once again, we are indebted to the management team and staff of the Kingfisher Centre, without whom these events would not be possible.”

Arts in Redditch is a member of the Reimagine Redditch consortium, which has successfully bid for funding under Arts Council England’s ‘Creative People and Places’ programme.
