Redditch author Margot saddles up for the Wild Atlantic Way

REDDITCH author Margot Bish has been at it again, publishing two books in quick succession.

‘Tis the Irish Way and the cannily titled Poems for Any Mood follow on from her time travelling success story A Moment in Time.

Just the opening lines of ‘Tis the Irish Way will get the reader hooked, and it rolls like a page turning thriller from there on.

It’s the autobiographical story of 50-something Margot deciding it’s time she learnt to ride a horse.

Decision made, she duly sets off, by bicycle, train and ferry to cross to Ireland to the riding school which says it can turn her from a complete novice into someone who can sit tall in the saddle if not exactly rope steers.

Her destination is the west coast of Ireland on the Wild Atlantic Way and finds her onboard Chevvy, a wily steed who doesn’t like getting her hooves wet and amazes our Margot with her adroitness.

There’s adventures aplenty, missed road signs and wrong turns but through it all shines Margot’s down to earth character – and no wonder, she is a professional gardener after all.

At just 125 pages ‘Tis the Irish Way is a delight which carries a five star rating on Amazon where it costs just £1.50.

Poems for Any Mood is just that – and there are some real gems in there waiting to be discovered, poems that will make you pause, stop and think.

Filled with some 32 pieces and complemented by more than 40 photographs, it’s a slim and ideal companion and costs just £3 from Amazon.
