A right royal day set for Forge Mill with Indigo Arts and more

Redditch Editorial 2nd Jun, 2022   0

REDDITCH’S very own and fabulous Indigo Arts is joining forces with Forge Mill this Sunday, June 5, to offer a royally resplendent Jubilee celebration for everyone in the beautiful grounds of the museum.

The celebrations will be helped along by entertainment from 10am to 4pm from Indigo, The Violettes, Shadow Sax, Yasmeen Shaaban, Millie Stanway and the Belle Contraires.

Under 18s can participate in the creation of a ‘Royal Portrait Gallery’, either on the day, or by bringing along a portrait they have created in advance.

Pictures can be of the Queen, or the royals, or members of their own family.

They can be in any media – paint, pencil, crayon, collage, even photography, whatever suits, on A4 paper or card.

The portraits will be framed and displayed on the day, and for the following week at the Mill.

There will also be the opportunity for a right royal selfie, using props supplied, and to enjoy a display of photographs and articles from the Queen’s opening of Forge Mill in 1983.

Bring a picnic, or book yourself a cream tea from Mill View Coffee Bar, what better way to enjoy a jubilant jubilee? Entrance is free.
