US singers make Redditch debut at record shop

TOP US contemporary Jazz artist Curtis Stigers and his drummer Paul Wells, currently supporting Barry Manilow on his UK tour, dropped into a Redditch record shop.

They arrived at Vintage Trax on Church Green East last week and also visited the nearby John Bonham Memorial after buying a pair of John Bonham Signature drumsticks from the shop.

Stigers is probably best known in the UK for his 90s hit singles ‘You’re All That Matters to Me’ and ‘I Wonder Why’.

The shop’s owners said: “The long flowing locks may be gone but his voice is instantly recognisable.”

The pair were rehearsing at Fly By Nite studios in Lakeside ahead of their first night at World Resorts Arena last Friday evening, which was also Manilow’s 79th birthday.
