REDDITCH entertainer Daz Stokes will be hoping to bring smiles to a global audience during his role as part of the Commonwealth Collective.
Daz was one of around 14,000 people from over 40,000 applications to be chosen for the Commonwealth Collective and he will be based at the Arena Birmingham, where he will be part of the workforce, meeting and greeting guests.
The Commonwealth Collective volunteers will be the ‘face of the Games’, with roles ranging from drivers and first aiders to courtside assistants and kit carriers.
He is host of his own radio show ‘Showbiz Sunday’ on ‘Gorgeous Radio’ in Wolverhampton and has also entertained audiences with previous TV appearances on shows such as Deal or No Deal and Coach Trip.
Last Sunday Daz took to the air to share some of his Commonwealth Games journey to audiences on his programme.
And he will be fulfilling his radio duties alongside his Games role, going on air this Sunday before returning to work at Birmingham 2022.
Daz said: “I really wanted to play my part as it’s a chance to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and give back to the community.
“I am really enthusiastic to help out and to put a bit of happiness into people’s lives.”
