A MAN has been arrested after a vehicle mounted the kerb and hit a boy in Drakes Cross, Hollywood.

The incident took place near the One Stop on Drakes Cross Shopping Parade.

The 15- year-old boy was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with injuries that were believed to be minor.

After a search of the area a vehicle was located and seized for forensic examination.

Inspector David Evans said: “We have a male in custody and our enquiries are ongoing. Officers remain in the area and additional patrols are being carried out to offer reassurance to the local community.

“If anyone was in the area at the time and saw the incident, we would ask them to get in contact with us.”
